It isn't the fact of people everywhere saying we are living in the end times that makes me think we are actually in the end times, because the majority of professing Christians don't seem to think (don't know) we are living in the end times.
There is one sign that is really speaking to me and that sign is the fact that the majority of professing Christians are HAPPY with their lives in this world and are carrying on as if Christ Jesus ISN'T going to return anytime soon.
Now in Matthew 24, Jesus explains that as in the days of Noah, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be. What was happening in the days of Noah? Well, while Noah was building the ark and preaching and warning the people that the earth was going to be destroyed soon, the people just mocked and ignored Noah and carried on with their lives as normal. Jesus said that they were eating, and drinking, and marrying and living as if nothing was going to happen to the world or their lives.
The more I look around the professing Christian world, especially the people I know, the more I see the majority of them enjoying their lives on this earth and living as if there was no urgency about their relationship with Christ. They are as Jesus said, eating and drinking and marrying and carrying on as if nothing was going to happen to them.
This for me at the moment is the one sign that says we are living in the end times. We need to also remember that our lives could end at any time, like those many thousands in Haiti. If our lives DID end suddenly, then for us it would be as if Jesus returned THAT day, because we would not have another chance to get right with Him.
This is urgent!! We need to be ready for Christ Jesus everyday! We need to flee from sin. We need to separate from the things of this world. We need to give our hearts in full to Christ today! Don't leave it too late.
